Last month I proudly introduced you gibberers to the guide on being smooth. Hopefully many of you have been practicing your click winks and your one liners and have since then gotten a girl interested or at least gone out on a date. Now that you've made it this far it is time for step 2.

How to keep the girl.

First, in order to maintain a relationship with the female you must take a leadership role. I can not stress this enough: Guys, You do not want the female to be in control! Once she takes control its all over, your free time, your guy time.... kiss it good bye. So boys, lets try to stay in the lead.

Second, in order to understand girls you must first understand the concept of how much in love with themselves they are. I'm being blatantly honest here, girls love themselves more than pretty much anything. If you want to maintain a nice relationship with a girl throwing in random compliments at random times will get their "self-wheel" spinning. Now the self-wheel is something that starts spinning when a girl begins to talk about herself and wont stop until you drastically change the subject. As long as her self-wheel gets spun every now and again she will stay attached. But To avoid the self-wheel-not-stopping-complex keep your compliments short but sweet and close it off.

"Hey [female name].... wow those are some really cool shoes, they look great on you...so wanna go get something to eat?"

Please note how I closed my compliment off with a change of topic so that I will not get caught in her self wheel. You should adjust this sentence to fit the girl you are pursuing. Insert her name where [Female name] is. Also, the shoe compliment can be substituted with any sort of phsyical attribute that you think deserves a quick note. These quick and sweet little compliments will keep her attached for some time. If you do get caught up in the self-wheel some good fillers are as follows:

Oh really?
Uh huh
I think so too

If vocalized convincingly she'll think your listening.

Finally positive reinforcement is a must. If she does something you like, encourage her by telling her she's a good girl and give her a peck on the cheek.

An example: is after a long day of work you come home and your female has made you a meal or offered a back rub. Kiss her cheek, along with a hug and she will no doubt be encouraged and not only stay with you longer but continue to do the things that are provoked by positive reinforcement.

I know there are some of you who try to swing negative reinforcement, but a nice peck usually goes over a lot better then a swift backhand. I only encourage negative reinforcement if you have "the rules" set in place. Next month I'll bring you the rules. Until then keep on practicing your click winks!

So I'm doing that whole "read through the Bible in a year" thing, which means I've read some of the more obscure passages that you don't normally pick up and read for devotions or in church. The Bible has some pretty interesting stuff in here. Anyways, just thought I'd share part of today's reading since some of us were once talking about whether or not we could ever justify this act. Ladies, be warned!

"If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pitty." Deuteronomy 25:11-12

I havent been sleeping well at all latley. Usually I have no problems sleeping in...but for about the past month or so I've been not able to go to sleep till around 3 or 4 and been waking up at around 8 or 8:30 every day. 4 hours of sleep is kind of draining. Yesterday my day started off really quite bad, I had woken up at 8 and I wasnt able to go back to bed so I laid there for a couple hours tossing and turning. Then I finally got out of bed to head to work and right when I was heading out the door my mom said:

"When you get home we need to talk."

Now if you ever want to ruin someones day, I think that little sentence is the key to doing it. So now you have to go through the motions of the day with that little thought in the back of your mind of what you did wrong or how you messed up or what light switch you left on... So all through work I was replaying in my mind what it was I had done wrong and tried to figure it out... Anyways I got to work and James had called in sick and Matt switched Saturday for Sunday so Dave was forced to go to saute and that left us with 3 Fry cooks for a Saturday. The normal amount of people on the Fryline on a Saturday should be 6, we had 3. So now I see my day is only getting worse and lunch was really busy and I didn't get to take my break until 4. So finally I get to break and I come home and walk in the africa room and tell my parents to talk to me. So they tell me all this stuff that I wont get into here and then it got into how I lack motivation in life which made me kind of depressed because I want to do something with my life, I just dont know what yet.

So I spent my break having a "talk" with my parents. I was tired, hot, cranky and a little depressed when I was heading back to work... So I started to pray and being a selfish little guy I told God that I'm having a bad day and that I would really appreciate it if work was slow tonight or something along those lines. I clocked in and headed to my 3 man team fryline and too my shock the fryline had 2 managers working on it. In order to understand this miracle you must first understand that Bill, our general manager never works. Yet for some reason he was pulling the food on line 2, with Jeff our other manager breading. Since it was busy while i was on break the managers had to come and help cover me I guess. I walk down to Bill and offer to take his spot because I just know how much he loves the fryline... he looks at me for a second and said "You know what, why dont you go to Saute and help Dave out." So I was extremely happy that I didnt have to work on the fryline and the saute line had just gotten rid of their special so it was pretty darn slow. I then proceeded to remember how I had prayed about it being slow and was llike "wow, thats really cool." Around 7:30 or so Bill was taking a break from the fryline and came over and said "You can thank me later" and winked at me. I thought to myself..... "No, Bill...Thank God, thank God."
