It's winter time again. I'm not really sure what I like most about winter. Actually, I'm not really sure if there is anything about winter I really like. It's a rough time for people like me. For starters, my sleep schedule... well I don't think you can really call it a schedule, but when I sleep it's dark and when I wake up, it's dark again. On the days I work I'm lucky enough to see the sun for 15 minutes on the drive in but thats about it.

Winter is also really cold. I'm not a big fan of cold. I have really bad circulation. My appendages are always freezing. I think that could be one of the main reasons girls break up with me. They like to tell me it's because things aren't working out or that they're moving away or some other lame excuse, but I know the real reason, it's because my hands are too cold to be held.

Winter is also really gray. I think I could deal with the cold if winter had some color to it. But there is none. For four months when I just so happen to be in my 15 minutes of sunlight, all I see is gray. It's really depressing. If I'm lucky and it snows, there could be two colors. White and gray. How exciting!

Hot chocolate and coffee are pretty good in the winter time. But I've yet to master that delicate balance. You know, the perfect temperature for hot cocoa. Personally, I think it's a pipedream. I've never had a cup of hot coca that was just right. It's either too hot or way too hot. Then by the time it cools enough to sip, the last half is just cold chocolate water, assorted with chunks of powdered chocolate swimming around because you didn't stir it enough...

and tiny crusty marshmallows that crunch. Marshmallows should not crunch.
