Newicks has officially bandwagoned onto the 'low carb' craze. It's pretty funny, we sell "low carb" steam veggies and "low carb" coleslaw that is exactly the same as our regular stuff, minus the carrots yet 2 dollars more. Essentially you dieters out there are paying more for less! But hey, at least you look good right? right. I never really understood the whole low carb thing. When in society did it become okay to eat bacon, but not carrots? Is there any coincidence that Dr. Atkins died of a heart attack? I don't think so.

On a more serious note, I havent updated in awhile, mostly because I don't want this to become a live journal where I sit here and cry about all the bad stuff that happened in my life. However I'll keep you guys posted on some of the stuff that has happened. Living at home is going pretty good. My mom and I occasionally get into it, but its forgotten in 15 minutes. Work is fun, I think its mostly the people I work with, theres a kind of bond that all us cooks have... in a fishy, smelly kind of way.

Nick and I have been brain storming ideas for a college age ministry we wish to get started We are going to take a trip to MCC to see how things work there and if they can help us out any. Small group on monday nights is going good, everyone there has a passion to grow. I really like the core we have, I think things are going to get very big in the future, if we allow it to and fight the tempation to become too cliquey (sp?).

If youre interested in helping out with the college ministry please contact me. We are going to need some people to help get this rolling. At the moment I'm looking for talented musicians who are willing to lead a worship service once a week. I am also going to need people to help get the word out about the new event, and possibly a few people to volunteer their testimony or to speak a quick word after a few songs.
