Here is a little glimse of 2nd grade, this year vs. last year. Keep in mind, that I've only had one day of actual school this year, so Opinons might change. Last year I taught at an inner city school which shall remain nameless. Now I teach at a school out in the middle of no where. Which also will remain nameless, but here are some fun statistics.

Last year: 8:30-3:00
This year: 7:15-1:50

Open House Attendance
Last year: 5 (3 non-English Speaking)
This year: 17 (all English speaking)

First Day of School
Last year: no mouse
This year: A mouse ran across the floor

Classroom
Last year: Really ugly furniture and junk taking up my space. Room open to the outside only, bathroom in between. i had a filing cabinet.
This year: Sparsely furnished with lots of open space. Room opens to the hallway only, bathrooms in the hall. No filing cabinet. I desperately need one.
