A weekend to celebrate being a man. (sneak peak)
As most of you know, us boys, er.... men, are going camping this weekend. It should be a nice get away with plenty of biking, tent pitching, scratching, and playing with fire. This trip should go a little bit better then the one i went on to the smokies in college. (16 miles hiked with 5 hours of sleep) We've got a good crew going. Our team is just about prepped and ready, we have all our camping gear we just need to pick up some food. We will be staying at camp nickerson in cape cod. The campsite has TONS of bike trails that ride along 8 different lakes/ponds. Also the beaches arent too far away, so we will definatley be hitting the surf and i'm sure picking up plenty of chicks... Although if i had a puppy i'm sure i'd pick up more. Well for those of you wondering whos going let me introduce you to my crew:
Rob - After 3 years in the army, he's back and ready for anything. This guy will pitch a tent in under 3 minutes flat. His experience is vital to our trip, his knowledge of equipment and cars will help ensure our safety and our confidence when we break something going 4 wheeling. Although i do have some awkward feelings when listening to his stories about how he fllipped an oil tanker in the desert, I am reassured by his good attitude and his no fear attitude
Pros - Lots of experience, laughs at all my dumb jokes, not gay
Cons - Likes to be too adventerous for my blood, farts way too much (even for a man)
Joey - After graduating high school, he took a year off and proved to us all that making money can be as easy as clicking a mouse. Joey will be our motivational biker this weekend, he's been training hard to take us deep into the trails of the cape. He like Rob, will also be the technical assistant and help with the equipment and with repairs when we inevidatabley break stuff. I'm sure his deep wallet will also get us out of some form of trouble when in need. Sure joey doesn't always think before he talks, but his mind knows how things work, and thats important when it comes to camping!
Pros - Very technical, very smart, lots of money, knows how to manage things wisely, not gay
Cons - Always seems to say the wrong thing at the right time.
Nick - Nick also took a year off after high school and is currently enrolled at the tech school in nashua. Nick will be the brains of this operation, his quick book smarts will be sure to get us out of any sticky situation. He will also be the creative one in the group, filling us with humorous stories around the camp fire. I picture nick becmoing one with the wilderness this weekend and befriending many cute furry animals. I also expect him to get the most out of this trip since it is his first time camping. Sure he may be fat, but hey, he's cute.
Pros - Very funny, creative and smart ; not gay
Cons - Lack of camping experience, will take up a little too much room in the tent
And as for me, I will probably be doing most of the cooking and getting in the way of stuff. I will also throw sticks in the fire and watch them burn and then wave them around to make funny sparky zig zags in the air.
Pros - Good cook, not gay
Cons - Gets in the way too much
There you have it, a sneak preview of our camping trip! I'll write a post camp ...uh, post..... when i get back.
