You know what I'm sick of, everyone assuming that just because "I have a job" means I have a ton of money. My parents do this to me all the time as do some of my friends and my siblings. I mean seriously what's the one thing you don't want to hear when you know your money is tight and you ask for something. "You have a job, buy it yourself"

Example: This past week my parents left for Aruba for their anniversary. Now previously my mom had asked me what I want for food while she's gone. I told her to get me some TV dinners or spaghetti O's or something. So Saturday rolls around and I head off to work and my parents head off to Aruba. I come home after ten hours of cooking fish and open the refregirator. Now picture a big cold empty box. Because thats what it was. There was a gallon of milk, a head of lettuce and some ketchup in the fridge. I open the freezer, A box of eggo waffles and a bag of french fries. Great. I run to the cabinet now as my stomache is practically eating itself. A couple cans of tomato soup and some tuna fish. yay! Tuna! the one thing I want after cooking fish all day. Now tell me was my mom teasing me by asking me what I wanted to eat while she's away? Or was she saying "you have a job buy your food yourself" Now I just bought a six thousand dollar truck. My checking account is on E, as is my gas tank. I pay two hundred dollars a month for rent, you think that some of that would go towards food, I guess not, must only go to this cubicle they call a bedroom. (I have the smallest room in the house, being the youngest is great huh?) Anyways, the next time my dad asks me to go get the mail I'm going to say, "You have legs, get it yourself" or the next time my mom asks me to bring her purse to her work in manchester I'm going to say "You got a car, get it yourself".
