So there I was. The lonely age of 13. I was in a movie theatre, with a girl. Boy was I proud of myself. My first date. Courtney Vargas was her name and she was an 11 out of 10 if you know what I mean. Hair that flowed peacefully down her back. A smile that shined like the stars and a voice soft as a feather's touch. This was so cool! Like a gentleman I bought her ticket, opened the doors and I even forked over the ten bucks for movie popcorn. The film: Jurassic Park 2 I was hoping maybe she'd get scared and have to hide against my shoulder. Gosh I'm so smooth. Thoughts of how I could reach my arm around her filtered my mind. Should I pull the old yawn and stretch move? nah... too cliche. My sister had previously told me to point in the oppositte direction and while she's looking slip your arm around her and say it was nothing, that seemed a little too forward. I took a sip of soda anticipating the opening previews. The lights dimmed and the flickering sound of the projector filled the air. She munched on some popcorn. I was sweating. I took another sip. This dating stuff is hard I thought. And with that I reached for some popcorn. I guess I wasn't paying attention because my hand missed the opening and struck the side of the mega size popcorn bag. The bag began to topple over. oh crap no. Yes it was happening. The bag spilled sending hundreds of kernals of popcorn into my date's lap. She started laughing, I turned red.

"I only thought that happened in movies" She said.

I sipped my soda. Boy dating was harder then I thought.
