The Glitter Controversy

Alright I've had enough of this glitter stuff the girls are wearing now a days. Let me share a little story with you. As some of you know this past weekend the bible bowl team took a trip to Florida. On Saturday we decided we would have a fun day at the Magic Kingdom. Everything was going just hunky-dorey until around 7pm When our beloved friend Jamie Sue Madson pulled out this glitter spray and decided it would be cool if all the girls wore glitter. Well let me tell you something, GLITTER IS NOT COOL Let me explain my reasoning; first, it gets everywhere. At the Sr. Semi there were about 20 guys who had glitter all over their face because some girl thought they would look pretty if they spread glitter all over their shoulders and chest. Well the guys who danced with those girls ended up with glitter all over them. Even after Jamie Kristen and Erin put the glitter on themselves, I vowed not to touch any of them which I nearly accomplished despite a few bumps here and there standing in line. Even after not touching them I ended up with glitter all over my arms which was then transported to my face, because I usually sleep with my face in my arms. Secondly, it looks tacky. I don't know who drilled it into these girls minds that glitter is pretty. It's not. It's like a beautiful Christmas tree can be truned into a tacky lawn ornament by putting tinsel on it, a beautiful girl can turn into a tacky crappy to look at glitter face. Another thing is, the girls rub it all over their chest and cleavage area, then they complain when guys give them a quick look down or keep staring at their chest. Well let's put it plainly here, if you don't want us looking at your chest, don't put stuff on that will make us look down there! And lastly it does not come off as easy as you think. Even after taking a shower the next morning, I still had about 4 pieces of glitter on my face and more on my left arm. So girls, let me tell you something, whoever invented glitter wear needs to be shot. If you want to look pretty, wear your hair down or something, just don't wear glitter!
