The Real World...As someone who is as close to the real world as a student at a Bible College can get.. Let me just share that it is not all it's cracked up to be. Yes I have my own apartment! This means I have to buy my own food, toliet paper and other neccesary items. I have to be 'responsible'. However, I do have my freedom. Freedom which I liked. Up until this morning, when as I was getting ready for church and about to put on my 10 dollar payless sandals when I saw the BIGGEST SPIDER i've ever seen out of captivity! Now, I don't like spiders well, but I was never terribly frighted...This one was pretty scary because I've never seen one quite this big. I grabbed my sandal prepared to squash the sucker into it's next life....not really expecting it to be a difficult task. After all, it's not like it can sting me, right?
What occured reminded me of a scene from X-files. As I smashed the sandal down on the ususpecting spider HUNDREDS of baby spiders ran out of it! I screamed loud enough to wake people in other areas of the country who were sound alseep due to the fact that there is a time difference (Did you hear me rob? I put on my sandals and started smashing the little buggers, but they were too fast. .....
so if you think the real world is so great wait until A SPIDER GIVES BIRTH IN YOUR APARTMENT... it CAN happen in the real world!
