Often times in life I ask myself 'why'. There are just some things that go on that I really don't understand. For instance JBC is one of them. A couple months ago the great administrators here at Johnson decided to expand the side walk. Why? I have no idea. After weeks of pondering I tried to come up with a well thought out conclusion but instead came up empty. My first initial thought was that it was due to all the fat chicks in the area. Maybe the sidewalks weren't big enough for a group of girls to be walking down it at the same time and the staff was getting some complaints, who knows. However, this theory was quickly thrown out the window as the expanded sidewalk leads to the boys dorm. I then thought maybe they wanted it to look nicer. It looked fine the way it was, but maybe a bigger sidewalk is more pleasing to the eye. If this is the case they totally missed their target. Now the sidewalk is 2 different colors, the new cement is a more grey color and less textured than its counter-part. Just walking on that sidewalk hurts my eyes as they are constantly darting back and forth to the old portion and the new portion.
Another thing that baffles the mind is how people around here can be so hefty based on the meal plan us Johnson students are so lucky to have. From my time here at JBC the food has gone from horrible to worse. With this in mind it was noted that I had actually lost weight when I got home last summer instead of gaining the usual college poundage. Maybe I should take up drinking just to get a beer gut. But seriously, with the amount of craptacular food that is served, its an amazment how many overweight people there are on campus, you would think they too would lose weight here at school. Maybe they gain weight because they are foced to go to taco bell 4 times a week instead of eating the cafeteria food, much like Zuber and I. It's quite a sight to see the leftovers from yesterdays lunch being served at today's dinner. Ah, I still can't help to crack a smile as I think of that slogan Jack made up last year 'Let's make like a JBC chick and go eat'. Many of you may think I'm being mean or derogatory, but hey let's face it just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean I have to go for the chubby gals. The mindset of you should like me for who I am is great, I like lots of people, but I don't have to LIKE them, if you know what I mean... In the words of Quagmire: Fat chicks need lovin too, but hey, they gotta pay.
