He came in the door, sliding his jacket off his arms, throwing it onto the nearest chair, he walked forward locking eyes on his loved one.

"Hi honey" he said.

He embraced her. He loved this moment the best, the time where he could just hold her in his arms for a few minutes. It was before he thought about taking care of the kids or before he figured out how they were going to pay the bills this month or even that nagging thought of the leaky roof. Everything just seemed to fade away. It was in this time he communicated the best of his feelings and he did so with out saying words. His forehead pressed against hers, he stroked her cheek.

"I missed you today" He said breaking the silence

A drop of water hit her cheek, still she was quiet and peaceful and calm. A voice spoke up in the background.

"Are you okay?"

The husband turned, wiped the tears from his face and nodded.

"We can go now" he said, composing himself

They closed the coffin, carrying it out of the church in the same silence the husband had just shared with his wife.
