Alright I know I'm going to get a lot of hassle from this one but quite honestly I'm fed up. Today at work a girl came up to me and asked me if I liked her haircut. Before she had long hair about shoulder length, maybe a little longer, it was a brown with a nice shine to it. Now she has cut it to a little lower then her ears and it kind of curls around them to make it look like she's a ram or princess leia. Latley a lot of girls I know have been getting their hair cut short. It makes me sad. Long hair is such a beautiful thing. I love the way hair falls down onto a girls shoulder and flows over, it's like a waterfall trickling on the rocks. But it seems almost every week another girl get's her hair cut short. I know I know, it's too much of a "hassel" or a "pain" to take care of. But personally I think it's worth it. My Jr. High sweetheart had hair that went on forever. It was great and all the guys rated her an 11 on a 1-10 scale. Also, the fake hair color has got to go. (sorry Cassie) Natural beauty is what it's all about ladies. None of this "do you like my hair color this week or last week better?" stuff. The bottom line is long hair is such a beautiful thing and it saddens me that I'm seeing less and less of it latley. If it's too much of a hassle all I can say is this, the extra 10 or 15 minutes it takes to comb it or shampoo it or whatever it is that makes it look long and pretty is well worth it in my book.

After having spent the past several hours mindlessly surfing the internet, I have come to two very important conclusions:
1. I need to get a life (or find a better way to spend my "procrastinating homework time"), and
2. I need to join an anonymous support group to deal with the fact that I have no life (or a very pathetic one at best). Preferrably a group that centers around the phrase "12 steps" and will help integrate me into "normal society". And preferably one that does not involve giving up addicting drinking habits. I'm not sure if I could handle being told to stop consuming my beloved caffeine!
hehe...therapy. That reminds me of one of my Professors. He said that he wasn't going to collect our "take home quizes" and grade them himself, but would trust us to do it ourselves. Then he asked if that bothered anyone. One person raised their hand--I think they were being funny. He then said that we have a wonderful after-school program for people like him called AA (the second word being "Anonymous" and the first word a term that can be both used in both biological and behavioral contexts). The guy didn't get the joke, but the rest of us did...it was funny. College is great.

As you read this please say a prayer for all those who have died for no reason today. This is a tragedy that is going to be remembered forever. The death toll must be in the thousands. Right now, I'm confused and hurt that someone would perform such an act of violence on the U.S. I think the scariest thing is that this is only the beginning. Please post your thoughts on this tragedy.
